As part of efforts to revamp the technical education sector, the Ministry of Technical Education Delta State, has successfully began A 2-day workshop aimed at Developing a Strategic Roadmap for Technical Education in the state.

The workshop, which took place recently, brought together key stakeholders in the education sector, including commissioners, permanent secretaries, and directors. The event was designed to facilitate collaboration and idea-sharing among stakeholders, with the ultimate goal of creating a comprehensive roadmap for technical education in Delta State.



Ikem Victor Ugochukwu delivered the keynote address, setting the tone for the workshop. The address emphasized the importance of technical education in driving economic growth and development in the state.

Goodwill messages were also delivered by the Commissioners for Higher Education, Basic and Secondary Education, demonstrating the state government's commitment to education. Specifically, in attendance were Hon. Mrs. Rose Ezewu, Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu, Commissioner for Primary Education, and Prof. Nyarhovwo Tonukari, Commissioner for Higher Education.



The principals of technical colleges across the state were also present, highlighting the collaborative effort to revamp technical education in Delta State.

Hon. Smart Ijeoma Ufoh, Commissioner for Technical Education, delivered the opening remarks, highlighting the need for a strategic roadmap to guide the development of technical education in the state. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and stakeholders engagement in achieving this goal.

The workshop provided a platform for stakeholders to engage in robust discussions, share ideas, and identify key challenges and opportunities in the technical education sector. The outcome of the workshop is expected to be a comprehensive strategic roadmap that will guide the development of technical education in Delta State.



Dr. Mrs. Gloria Patrick Ferife, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Technical Education, expressed her gratitude to all participants and stakeholders for their contributions to the workshop.

This development is a significant step towards achieving the state government M.O.R.E AGENDA and vision for technical education, which is aimed at providing students with the skills and knowledge required to compete in today's economy.
